Leda (2024)

Mixed Media

Inspired by the greek myth of the rape of Leda by the God Zeus, and the rich history of artists retellings, this series of mono-prints are an effort to place the story in the contemporary world. Leda is both empowered and scrutinized as a contemporary figure. The work functions as an exploration into the complexities of sexual trauma and the ongoing healing process. Layers of drawn elements, collage, screen-printing, and mono-print make up a dispersed and fragmented vision of Leda’s interior world.
